At the moment there is nothing definitive that can be said regarding Immigration reform in the United States except that its a topic causing debate and hope.
Like any law, the legislative process is long and usually yields changes from the original proposal brought to Congress. Because Immigration reform seems to ask for arguments from both political parties, there is no way to predict what the final legislation will look like.
Even if for you and your family the prospect of Immigration reform yields hope, you must comply with current United States and local laws and not rely on a potential change in laws which may never take place…or at least perhaps not to a predictable degree.
